About Mount Burke Station

The 10.000 ha Mount Burke Station is on the north-eastern shore of Lake Wanaka and is owned by Tim Burdon and managed by Andy Keenan and Grant Ruddenklau and farm staff. The station is currently supported by a ~171 Ha freehold block (Ridgeway) and 285 ha block leased from Ruddenklau Farming. Like many high-country pastoral leases, Mt Burke mays till progress tenure review.

Mt Burke is typical of many high-country stations located on the shores of lakes.  It has hundreds of streams flowing through the property that present challenges for water quality management, but it also has an added challenge of a vast open lake frontage.
